War Thunder Ban Appeal: What to Do After an Account Ban

A ban feels final, but there is a process. Here is how to approach an appeal, what to avoid, and where a recovery tool might fit.

A ban notice is stressful, especially if you have put money and years into an account. The good news is that there is a defined process. The less good news is that results depend on the reason for the action and on Gaijin’s decision. Here is how to approach it calmly.

Read the notice carefully

Find the stated reason and the length of the action. Gaijin’s published fair play updates refer to a section of the license agreement that covers automation of gameplay and cheat software, and bans for those reasons get dealt with firmly. In a March 2024 update, the team reported blocking 6,669 accounts under that section. Knowing the reason tells you whether you have anything to appeal at all.

Gather your facts

Write down what happened before you contact anyone. Include dates, your account name, any recent changes like new software or a shared PC, and anything you believe was a mistake. A short, factual summary is stronger than a long emotional one.

Contact Gaijin support properly

Use Gaijin’s official support channel and open a single ticket. Duplicate tickets do not speed anything up and can slow things down. Stay polite and stick to facts. If you did break the rules, be honest, since contradictions are easy to spot.

Do not pay unknown unban sellers

Anyone offering a guaranteed unban for a fee is a risk. Nobody outside Gaijin can promise that outcome, and many of these offers are scams. Never hand over your password to a third party.

Secure the account

Gaijin recommends a strong password and two step authentication, with options including email, SMS and an authenticator app. Do this whether or not your appeal succeeds, and secure the email address linked to the account too.

Where a recovery tool fits

The Levo UGC tool, which stands for Unban and Governance Control, is described on its page as an automation workspace for account recovery. It is meant to help you build custom appeal workflows, manage restriction disputes and rebuild a profile across platforms. Think of it as a way to organize and speed up a process you would otherwise do by hand. It does not decide the outcome, and Gaijin’s decision is still final. Check the page to see whether it fits your platform before buying.

Plans are $15 for a week, $35 for a month and $150 for lifetime, with free updates during your key and support included. See our UGC overview for more detail.

If the issue is hardware

Sometimes the problem is tied to your machine, not just your account. In that case, read our piece on the War Thunder HWID spoofer, since the two tools solve different problems.
